Sustainable packaging for snack delivery

Good packaging protects the snacks. Bad packaging protects the snacks and then lives in a landfill for centuries. We want the first half of that sentence and none of the second, so we think hard about what goes around a box.
Start with less
The simplest sustainable choice is to use less material. We size boxes to the contents, so we are not shipping snacks with a ring of empty space around them. Less void fill means less waste, and it also means a smaller, cheaper parcel.
Choose materials that break down
Where we do need padding, we reach for paper and cardboard based options over plastic bubble wrap. Paper crinkles, cardboard inserts, and paper tape do the same job and compost when they are done. We are always testing new materials to see what holds up.
Reuse before you recycle
A shipping box can live a second life as a storage box or a surprise for someone else. We build boxes that are sturdy enough to be reused, not just recycled. It is a small thing, but sturdy boxes get kept and reused more often than flimsy ones.

Frequently asked questions
Is your packaging recyclable?
Most of it is, and we favour paper and cardboard over plastic where we can.
Why not go fully plastic free?
Some snacks need a barrier we have not replaced yet. We are working on it.
Can I reuse the box?
Please do. We build them sturdy on purpose.
