From trade show stand to your snack box

When we taste something we love at a trade show, that's the easy part. Getting it into a box in Amsterdam is where the actual work happens.

The shortlist becomes a test

We order a small batch first. Samples from a stand and production runs are different things, and sometimes the real product doesn't match. We test at home, with friends, with the team. Only a few make it past this stage.

Paperwork and patience

Imports mean labels, shelf life, and customs. Some suppliers already handle EU compliance. Others don't, and that's where we slow down. None of this is glamorous, but it's what stops a box from getting held at a border for weeks.

Packing a snack box

It lands in a box

Once a snack clears all that, we decide where it lives. Maybe it anchors the exotic box, or it becomes a featured item for a while. We photograph it, write a short description, and it's live on the site.

The whole loop, from first taste to your door, can take weeks or months. When it finally shows up, it's the result of a lot of saying no along the way. That discipline is why our snacks stay worth opening.

Frequently asked questions

How long from show to store?

Anywhere from a few weeks to several months.

Do you always buy from the first supplier you meet?

No. We compare, then order a small test batch.

Why do some snacks never make it?

Packaging, shelf life, or the real product not matching the sample.
