Terms of service

By using gardenofchow.com (the "Site"), placing an order, or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These terms are a legal agreement between you and Garden of Chow. We may update them from time to time, and the version published here is the one that applies.

Garden of Chow is a food gift box store based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We curate and sell gift boxes of snacks, hot sauces, and candy, and we link out to single products sold by third parties on Amazon.

Gift boxes. Our gift boxes are bundles of individual products that we select, pack, and ship ourselves. Each box lists its contents on its product page.

Single drops. The "products" section of the Site lists individual snacks and sauces. We do not sell these directly. When you click through, you are taken to Amazon, where the sale is completed under Amazon's own terms and conditions.

When you place an order for a gift box, we will send you an acknowledgement. An order is only accepted once we have confirmed it and processed payment.

We may refuse or cancel an order if a product is unavailable, if there is a pricing error, or if we suspect fraud or abuse. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.

Prices are shown in euros and include VAT where applicable. Shipping costs, if any, are shown at checkout before you confirm your order.

Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our own systems. By submitting payment information, you authorise us (or our payment processor) to charge the total amount.

Gift boxes ship within one to two business days of your order, unless the product page states otherwise. Delivery times depend on your location.

We ship to the Netherlands, the wider EU, and select other regions. If we cannot ship to your address, we will tell you before accepting your order. Risk of loss passes to you once the order is delivered to the address you provided.

If a gift box arrives damaged or something is missing, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund it. Please keep the packaging and any photos, as they help us resolve the issue.

Because food products are perishable, we generally cannot accept returns of opened boxes. If you change your mind before an order ships, contact us and we will cancel and refund it if we can.

Some of our products contain common allergens such as nuts, dairy, gluten, and soy, and many are very spicy. Always read the product labels and the contents listed on each box before eating.

We are not responsible for allergic reactions, injuries, or discomfort caused by consuming our products. If you have a serious allergy, contact us before ordering so we can advise you on what to avoid.

You can create an account to save your details and view your order history. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Deleting your account removes your profile, sessions, and order history.

The Site, including its design, text, graphics, and branding, is owned by Garden of Chow and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, or republish it without our permission.

Product names and trademarks referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the products we sell.

You agree not to use the Site in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful, including attempting to interfere with its operation, scrape its content, or place orders with false information.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

The Site contains links to third-party websites, including Amazon. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Purchases made on third-party sites are governed by those sites' own terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Garden of Chow is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or from products purchased through it.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for anything that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
